EFCC: Magu condemns murder of ex-CDS, Badeh

Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) has expressed his condolence and shock over the death of former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, which sad event occurred on Tuesday, December 18.
Magu disclosed this in a statement by Tony Orilade Ag. head, media & publicity.
“On behalf of the entire officers and men of the EFCC, I hereby offer our heartfelt condolences over the sudden and untimely death of the former CDS,” Magu said, in a letter of condolence, dated December 19, 2018 and addressed to the chief of defence staff, general A. G. Olanisakin.
Magu condemned in the strongest term, the “crude and senseless manner of the attack leading to the death of the former CDS”, and called on the relevant security agencies “to ensure that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are apprehended and brought to book”.
While condoling with the family of the late CDS, Magu said: “We pray the Almighty God will give the Defence Headquarters, the Nigeria Air Force, Adamawa state and other stakeholders, the grace to bear the irreparable loss.”
Speaking on the unfortunate development, some residents of the community said Badeh was shot as he made his way from his farm between Koso and Kugwaru communities.
They said the deceased chose to go through Panda road off the Keffi-Bade highway due to the dilapidation of the Mararaba route
