Legend' Solskjaer vows to bring entertainment back to United as he's given hero's welcome

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has vowed to bring "excitement and entertainment" back to Manchester United as he was given a hero's welcome on his return to Old Trafford.

The Norwegian chief, 45, wrote in his pre-match programme notes that he needs to "show fans what Man United is all about".

Solskjaer won his first game in charge 5-1 away to Cardiff and was given a great reception in his first home game as boss.

As well as promising attacking, flowing football - the Old Trafford boss said he was keen to blood youth in the first-team as soon as possible.

In the pre-match programme, Solskjaer wrote: “We all have a lot of work to do to get this club back towards where it should be.

“Not only do we have to improve our results, we have to remind people what Manchester United is all about.

"We have to show everybody who we really are.

“This is a club built on entertainment and excitement, on giving young players the opportunity to express themselves.

“These players have shown that they have the never-say-die spirit that United has always had.

“There is a lot of talent in our squad and this is a big opportunity for these players to demonstrate that and show everybody why they play for this great club.”
