Marraige is a formal union between two individuals that unites their lives legally, economically, and emotionally. The contractual marriage agreement usually implies that the couple has legal obligations to each other throughout their lives or until they decide to divorce.
On the other hand, anyone can have sexual relations with anyone and it could result in having a child with them, whether planned or unplanned.
The logic therefore is, if you fall out of love with someone you're married to, you can always get a divorce but if you have a child with them, you're stuck with them, right?
