Moses hopes for better 2019
Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses, is confident the New Year will offer his career a fresh start after finding regular game time hard to come by at Chelsea.
Moses who had a stellar campaign with Chelsea in 2018 playing 38 times for the Blues, who lifted the English FA Cup last season has gone from being one of Antonio Conte’s main men in the right wing-back role to almost a forgotten man under Maurizio Sarri.
His future at Chelsea looks very bleak as he has made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League, with another two showings off the bench in the Europa League and one start in the Carabao Cup.
“2018 was a year to remember and now it’s time to make 2019 even better. Happy New Year everyone,” Moses tweeted.
Moses last featured as a 57th-minute substitute for Willian in the Blues 3-1 defeat of BATE Borisov in a Europa League game on October 25. 2018 at Stamford Bridge.
Since then, the Nigerian has not made any of Maurizio Sarri’s match day squad.
The former Eagles forward has appeared in only two Europa League games this season and was subbed on both occasions against MOL Vidi and BATE Borisov, both at Stamford Bridge for a combined 49 minutes of action.
