Amosun pledges not to abandon any project

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has said his administration will not abandon any on-going project in the state, assuring that he will work till the last day in office.

Amosun who gave this assurance in Abeokuta, during the Executive Council meeting said, “Politics will not slow us down, as it is time to fully go back to work. The construction of the Ogun State Television (OGTV) Complex, Ogere International Market, the 250-bed ultra-modern hospital, Abeokuta City Centre, new Makun City and other road projects would be completed and commissioned by President Muhammad Buhari in May this year”.

Amosun, who thereafter led the Executive Council members and Permanent Secretaries on inspection tour of some major projects in Abeokuta, the state capital said, projects like the International Airport at Wasimi, might not be completed due to time constraint, saying: ‘’I will follow it up while in the  Senate, though it is a Federal Government project”.

The governor while appreciating members of his cabinet for their selfless efforts in the rebuilding mission said, “we will continue to work our talk and finish strong.”

Meanwhile, Labour leaders who were recently reinstated by Governor Amosun, have visited him to appreciate his magnanimity.

Accompanied by the Chairman, Trade Union Congress, TUC, Bunmi Fajobi, to the Governor’s residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Akeem Ambali said, “the past is gone and a new era is here.”
