gunner try again Arsenal to return for PSG winger Nkunku after disaster deal for Suarez
ARSENAL are already planning for the summer by stepping up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain star Christopher Nkunku.
The Gunners tried sign the midfielder on loan in January, but could not agree a deal with the French giants and signed Denis Suarez instead.
But Suarez has been a disaster at the Emirates and is set to be shipped back to Barcelona this summer.
Nkunku has emerged as a top target to replace him following his sublime spell of form for the Ligue 1 leaders.
Arsenal sent scouts to watch the midfielder play during the 4-0 win over Dijon earlier this month.
The 21-year-old is said to have impressed Emery during his two seasons in charge of PSG.
While under the management of the Spaniard, Nkunku scored seven goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
He is under contract at Parc des Princes until 2020 and it is understood that he is valued at around £18m.
But his agent fuelled speculation that he could leave Thomas Tuchel's side when he admitted Nkunku sees his future outside of France.
The midfielder has also played alongside Emirates star Matteo Guendouzi in the French youth set-up.
Emery could not afford to sign him permanently in January and had planned to secure him on loan with an option to buy.
He wants to sign five new faces this summer, but will have a transfer budget of just £40m if they don't reach the Champions League.
