SHAME!!! Barcelona New Home Kit Branded 'Disgusting, Embarrassing’ After Official Launch [PHOTOS]
Barcelona have released their home shirt for the 2019/20 season and it's very different to what the club normally opt for.
As we know, the Blaugrana's traditional colours are red and blue, with stripes the normal design for them. Sometimes they've switched it up and had half and half, while the 2015/16 campaign saw Luis Enrique's treble-winners don hoops on their home shirt.
But next season's Nike home shirt is moving into an entirely new direction with a chequered pattern never seen before in the club's 119-year history.
The description reads: "The new design takes its inspiration from the city of Barcelona by incorporating the characteristic blocks of its Eixample district, home to some of the most emblematic buildings designed by the great architect Antoni Gaudí.
The kit also include the red and yellow stripes of the Catalan flag just above the neckline to give it a little more tradition but the dramatic design change has not gone down well with fans:
“This is such a disaster,” tweeted Arash Bahmani. Another fan tweeted “Not only we got embarrassed in back to back champions leagues because of Valverde and Bartomeu. You have to add this embarrassing kit as well. It’s like these two people really hate Barca.”
Then Jano added, “This is unacceptable. This is embarrassment.”
