1. Police Dismiss Killer of Remo Stars Footballer, Tiamiyu Kazeem
The Nigerian police force HQ has dismissed the Zonal intervention squad officer who was involved in the murder of the Remo Stars Football Club Player, Tiamiyu Kazeem.
Inspector Olaniyi Ogunsoro's dismissal came following a recommendation sent to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, in charge of zone two, after the dismissed officer's trial by Ogun State Police Command.
It was gathered that Inspector Ogunsoro is presently undergoing disengagement proceedings of the Service and he is expected to soon be prosecuted,
The Ogun State Police Command as on Saturday confirmed the death of the Assistant Captain and defender of Remo Stars Football Club, Tiyamiyu Kazeem and ordered the arrest of one its own who was involved in the Soccer Player's demise.
2. Soldier Opens Fire on Colleagues, Kills Four and Commits Suicide
A Corporal at the Nigerian Army serving at the Theater Command Operation, LAFIYA DOLE, Army Super Camp 15, located at Malam Fatori went berserk in the early hours of February 26 and opening fire killing four of his colleagues before shooting himself in the process.
According to a statement by Sagir Musa, Colonel Acting Director of Army Public Relations, two other colleagues were also injured during the incident and are in stable condition in the hospital in Maiduguri.
3. Failure to Arrest Culprit shows FG's Insincerity on Killings - Bishops
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria on Wednesday said the Federal Government had not shown willingness to end the spate of killings by Boko Haram insurgents and herdsmen in the Country.
The CBCN issued the statement to mark Ash Wednesday which marked the beginning of the 40-day Lenten period.
Berating the Federal Government, the group said ''The level of insecurity in Nigeria is such that whether home or on the road, most Nigerians, in all parts of the Country, live in fear. The repeated barbaric execution of Christians by Boko Haram insurgents and the incessant cases of kidnapping for ransom linked to the same group and other terrorists have traumatized many citizens.
The bishops, who said Nigeria needed foreign Assistance, stated, ''We equally appeal to the international Community to come to the aid of the Nigerian Government in the fight against these daredevil terrorists, who wants to graze our country. The consequences, should they succeed, will be grave not only for the West African Sub-region but also for Africa as a whole.''

The Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) boss, Ibrahim Magu says he can't stop linking Coronavirus to Corruption.
You would recall that the virus has killed 2,760 people globally , 2,715, of whom are in mainland China.
As the medical community grapples with the cause and cure for the viral disease, Nigeria's anti-graft boss, who was bashed recently for claiming that the disease is linked to Corruption, still maintained his controversial take that the disease is caused by Corruption.

Nigerian pop star, Davido has come out public to declare that he is getting his soon-to-be wife, Chef Chioma, pregnant again.
