I Will Take The Yoruba Nation Rally To Lagos State Because It Is A Part Of Yorubaland -Sunday Igboho Declares

The host of the Yoruba nation rally Sunday, Igboho has vowed to extend the rally to Lagos state, the former capital of Nigeria. According to the BBC Yoruba here, Sunday Igboho made the statement when he and his followers visited Ekiti state for the same purpose of propagating secession for his Yoruba people.

However, the executive governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has made it clear through the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, that there will never be any form of Yoruba nation rally in Lagos state.

The Lagos state commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, has said with the power conferred on him, he will never allow any form of Yoruba nation rally in Lagos state because he knew that most of the agitators have caused mayhem during the rally in some other state, thus there is no room for that in Lagos state.

According to Hakeem Odumosu, the secessionists may end up disrupting the peace of Lagos state with the peaceful rally which they claimed to organized in the state. This is the reason why he will not tolerate the rally, be it for the Oduduwa Nation or the Biafra rally.

However, the Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho at the peaceful rally which was held in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state today, 5th of June, 2021, claimed that Lagos state belongs to the Yorubas and he is ready to extend the rally to the state.

Due to Sunday Igboho's decision, he wanted to act contrary to the decision of the Lagos state commissioner of police, by coming to organize the rally, believing that the Lagos state government will be lenient to him, just as the governor of Akure, Rotimi Akeredolu, said in the past that he will not allow any secessionist in his state, but it was so surprising to see that Sunday Igboho and his supporters came.
