Ronaldo Says the Beautiful Part of Champions League Has Begun
Cristiano Ronaldo has said the "beautiful part of the Champions League starts now" after Juventus finished top of Group H.
The Old Lady lost to Young Boys in Switzerland on Wednesday and it did not really matter as Manchester United also lost to Valencia.
Guillaume Hoarau scored twice in Bern while Paulo Dybala's strike proved no more than a consolation.
But for Ronaldo, the Champions League is only just getting started and he is convinced he and his team-mates can go all the way.
'Now the beautiful part of the Champions League starts and I'm confident we will be fully ready for it,' the 33-year-old told reporters after the 2-1 defeat to Young Boys.
'I'm calm because I know the potential ofthis team and my potential.
'I could have scored a couple of goals easily but this is football, we just have to start to focus on the next game.'
The Champions League Last-16 draw is set to be made in Nyon on December 17 with Schalke, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, Liverpool, Ajax and Lyon all potential opponents.
Juventus have come close to winning the Champions League in recent years, losing to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
