Is Annual Fasting In Nigerian Churches Becoming a Religious Routine and Losing Relevance?
Social Media is buzzing because of Redeem Christian Church of God's fasting program.
People argue that they are on a fast for mercy yet the Bible says through JESUS we have already obtained mercy, and we can always lay hold of it by going boldly before the throne of underserved favour.
A Facebook user adds, "Tell me what exactly this fast is supposed to achieve if the aim had already been accomplished over two millennia ago? That is ignorance gone to seed."
Another counters, "People wll always view scriptures differently. The same bible has scriptures to back what they are doing. So l wonder what ignorance has to do with their fasting programme"
