Yomi Fabiyi, a movie producer-cum-director and an actor, has taken veterans in the movie industry and production crew to location to shoot his new movie titled, Oko Iyabo.
The movie location somewhere in Ikorodu was alive as top notch-actors took turns to take their roles in the new movie that paraded stars like Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Lola Idije, Remi Olofana, Yetunde Wunmi, Adewale Elesho and others.
Speaking with our correspondent in Ikorodu, Lagos at the location of the movie, he said Oko- Iyabo is meant to educate the public about their right and also tell more about his involvement in the Baba Ijesha saga.
Fabiyi who is now known as Oko Iyabo said, "The movie is loaded with facts that are unknown to so many, and the facts are basically the rights of every human being in the society."
Reacting to the status between him, Iyabo Ojo and Princess, the comedienne, Fabiyi said, "I have no issue with anybody, what I am after is fairness, equity and justice. Everybody must be given a fair hearing, no matter what, but in a situation where judgement is passed before prosecution, to me that is bad. I don't have issue with anybody, but it is high time we start doing things right so that we can have a better society."
Reacting to the insinuation that he was out to take advantage of Baba Ijesha's rape case to make name and money for himself, Fabiyi said, "People are fond of spreading rumor and baseless allegations. I am a person raised not to look away in a situation where someone's right is abused. This is something I have been doing and I will never stop until we have a sane society where people's right is never trampled upon. Oko Iyabo is meant to educate the general public and it is for the benefit of all." He concluded.
